We at Beyond Skin present you with a beautiful range of luxurious, vintage inspired non leather shoes.   Offering a range of soft pastel summer shades alongside fresh and vibrant bright colours, this summer displays a true fusion of ‘elegance meets quirk’.

This season uses a strong selection of retro summer styles, with emphasis on block heels and platforms as well as the much loved wedge.  All are made from 100% vegetarian materials, so you can be sure that no animals were harmed in the making of your shoes. The use of contrasting textures & delicate uppers alongside confident silhouette’s creates the vintage twist throughout this range of ethical footwear.

We have playfully married colours with textures; raw raffa is paired with shiny faux snakeskin, delicate woven textiles are teamed with bold colours.  Printed fabrics featured this season are metallic leopard, sophisticated zig zag design plus our trademark strong floral design.  We also offer a selection of delicate evening patterns for that discreet shimmer of difference for stylish ethical evening wear.

To complete this vintage inspired collection we have embraced the use of bold accessories – from over-sized bows to feminine flowers.  Combined together, this season create a wearable yet unusual offering of guilt-free vegan footwear.  We hope to see the likes of Natalie Portman, Alicia Silverstone & Fearne Cotton wearing styles from this range of shoes.

We are not however, so happy at the huge amount of fur which seems to have snuck it’s way back on the catwalk.  How influential designers believe that it’s fine to use & promote the use of real fur is beyond us & we believe it to be totally irresponsible.  There are many an amazing replica faux furs to use instead, it is sooo un-necessary & frustrating to find.

We are remaining true to our original philosophy; that of creating beautiful cruelty-free shoes without sacrificing ethics nor style.  Here are some snapshots of our new season collections at Pure London, Autumn Winter 2012/13.

Autumn Winter ’12 presents a dynamic and flamboyant collection of footwear. Offering a range of warm autumn shades vividly merged with metallic accents & sequins this season embraces echoes of the 1960’s and 70’s.  This season uses a strong selection of retro, vintage styles, with emphasis on block heels and round toe court shoes.  Boots play a strong role in the collection, varying from cute ankle boots up to over-the-knee delights.  Striking zig zag prints are back, this time in a subtle array of colours; muted blacks & greys and shades of leaf brown with burnt orange. Other AW’12 feature prints include herring bone tweed, metallic weave diamond design, luxurious animal prints and an unusual textured flock effect.

The range is lifted with the use of glitters and sequins, and metallic faux leathers.  Our salmon coloured sequin is married with gold faux lame leather to offer an outrageously divine assortment of evening styles.

We have teamed these colours and fabrics with a classic 60’s look; the use of buttons as accessories offers a true retro range of guilt-free shoes.  They will be available to wear in July 2012 and we hope that they will be worn by the likes of Natalie Portman, Fearne Cotton, Emily Deschanel and Abby Cornish.

Our new Spring Summer 2012 collection will be going live to pre-buy in the VIP Lounge at the start of February & the shoes will be with us & ready to be sent out at the end of February, start of March.

These gorgeous non leather accessories are handmade in Spain, and provide enough room for coins and cards a plenty.  The Bella is versatile to be used as an evening mini clutch bag or as an everyday vegan zip wallet.  One of our favourite things about this stylish ethical accessory is the adorable zebra charm they come with…we love.  Featuring iconic zigzag and animal prints, as well as our 100% recycled faux suede dinamica, the purses are lined with faux vegan leather and gold zip detail.
