We have a few New Year’s Resolutions that we would like to share & possibly inspire some ideas for you…

• Start everyday with a smile & think about what you would like to happen within your day before it has even begun.
• Try something new – ceramics class/write a novel/submit a drawing to a competition or climb a mountain.  Aim to do something that initially makes you feel a little uneasy – we think the feeling of reward once it’s done it worth it!
• Challenge yourself!
• Write a list of everything that you would like to accomplish this year & leave on the fridge so you can remind yourself when you have done them & what’s left…this will help you visualise yourself doing these things.
• Do the thing you’re avoiding first in the day.
• Drink less caffeine & more champagne.
• Wear those ‘special’ shoes that you LOVE more than only on special occasions & feel sky high in!

We would absolutely love to hear from you if you have any New Year’s Resolutions that you have thought of – we find that by sharing we’re committing to them…

Here are some fast vegan facts: the word vegan was founded in 1944 by two members of the Leicester Vegetarian Society here in lovely UK.  Donald Watson and Elsie “Sally” Shrigley became concerned that several members of the vegetarian society still ate dairy products.  They created a sub-group of people who would not consume any animal or animal derived products.  Thus was born the term ‘vegan’, which they developed using the first three and last two letters of the word ‘vegetarian’.  Check out the Vegan Society for more info.

Not only is 1st November World Vegan Day, it is also the start of World Vegan Awareness Month.  This is a wonderful month where we can celebrate all things vegan; food, drink, clothes and of course shoes…Beyond Skin vegan shoes are thrilled to be a trail blazing company within the vegan footwear arena, established since 2003 we have been flying the vegan flag for some time now.
